Since beginning retinoid use, my skin has become more sensitive and I needed to find a mineral sunscreen that didn’t make me want to rip my face off. This smells exactly like Earl Grey tea and is fairly lightweight for a zinc based sunscreen. It’s not one of those liquidy, water thin ones which can cling to texture and flakiness IMO. This smoothes over any dryness without feeling like goop or cement. I think if you had oilier skin you could probably even skip moisturizer with this. It doesn’t sting or burn at all and it doesn’t break me out, it actually seems to soothe my skin. It does have a cast, though it’s not as bad as many mineral SS I have tried. It sinks in after a few minutes, but I have very pale skin. If you have deeper skin I think this would be a pass, unfortunately, even if the formula is otherwise very nice.
I am using it for a month, so I have a couple of words to say. Overall it is close to perfect sunscreen, especially if we consider it has a mineral filter. After application, there is no white cast on the skin, and it feels really smooth, your skin looks so even... However, I think it is not for dry or dry to normal skin. In the summer, I usually have normal skin, but I still feel like I need an extra moisturizer under it, combination or oily skin will love more probably. It has a herbal smell but fades in seconds, so not important. After all, I still like it very much, and use it.
Overall a solid sunscreen. I sit around an NC45 in MAC and have a minimal white/purple cast with this. It makes my face look a bit more cool toned but nothing absurd and you have to really look to see it. It’s not my favorite under makeup since I find it makes texture a little bit more noticeable, but a smoothing primer will help with that.
I really love this sunscreen - the texture is very creamy and leaves a minimal white cast on my skin. I've used it for a while and haven't experienced any breakouts. It does have a sort of "green" plant scent to it but I find it pleasant. Overall another hit from Cosrx, and I hope they never discontinue this.
Currently only using this as sunscreen. Boyfriend has sensitive skin, I have combination skin. We both use it with no issues. It feels light and doesn’t have that sort of pasty or filmy feel some sunscreens have.
I really love this sunscreen! It looks really nice on my dry skin even though it says it has a more matte finish. The smell is nice and fresh, and it’s a pretty decent cost for how it has lasted me. The only con is it does seem to leave a whitecast if I apply too much at once. What works best for me is to apply two thinner layers. I’d recommend this!
